🗺️ Terrain Summary

Dubrovnik Old Town is exceptionally beautiful but also one of the most challenging terrains in Europe, steep stone steps and polished marble streets throughout. The resort areas outside the city (Lapad, Babin Kuk) are much more manageable.

✅ Flat Areas

Lapad Bay resort area is relatively flat with a beach and promenade. Babin Kuk peninsula has flat resort grounds. Cavtat (south of Dubrovnik) has a flat harbour promenade.

⚠️ Hilly / Challenging

Dubrovnik Old Town, steep stone steps and marble streets. The cable car gives access to Mount Srđ, fantastic views with no walking. Stradun (main street) is the flattest route through the old town.

🚫 Areas to Avoid

The upper streets of the Old Town north and south of Stradun are accessible only via steep stone stairways. The City Walls are largely inaccessible to those with limited mobility due to numerous narrow and steep steps throughout the circuit.
