a) Account Information

• Name

• Login credentials or social login ID

b) Social Login Data

If you register using Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple, we may receive:

• Your name

• Profile ID
• Profile picture (if permitted)

We do not access your passwords or any unrelated account data.

c) Usage Data

• Searches performed
• Filters selected (e.g. mobility, sensory needs)
• Pages visited
• Device / browser type
• IP address

d) Anonymous Visitor Data

When you visit GoTripAble without registering, we store a randomly generated anonymous visitor ID in your browser (localStorage). This is used solely to count visits and improve our service. It contains no personally identifiable information and is not linked to any account unless you subsequently register.

e) Referral Data

If you arrive via a referral link from another user, we temporarily store the referrer's email address in your browser session to attribute any referral reward. This data is deleted from your browser immediately after account creation and is used solely to process referral credits.

f) Payment Data

Payment transaction details are handled via Stripe (our third-party payment provider).

g) Special Category Data — Health & Accessibility Information

We only process this data:

• With your explicit consent (given when selecting filters)
• For the purpose of improving and personalising your search experience

We may send you emails for the following purposes:

• Service messages — e.g. confirming purchases, account changes
• Re-engagement messages — e.g. notifying you of new destinations, gifted search credits, or platform updates. The legal basis for these is our legitimate interests in maintaining an active user base, balanced against your right not to receive unwanted communications.
• Promotional or special offers — only where you have not objected to receiving them

⚠️ Children Under 13

GoTripAble is intended for use by adults (aged 18 and over) or by parents and carers acting on behalf of children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the age of 13.

Data entered about children by parents or carers

When a parent or carer selects filters relating to their child's disability, health condition, or accessibility needs (e.g. 'Parent of a disabled child', 'Travelling with children (physical needs)'), this constitutes special category data about a third party (the child). By selecting these filters, you confirm that:

• You are the parent, legal guardian, or person with parental responsibility for the child concerned
• You consent to GoTripAble processing this information solely to personalise search results and accommodation recommendations
• You understand this data is used only for improving your experience and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes

Removing a child's data

You can request deletion of any data relating to your child at any time by emailing toolkitapp@mail.uk with 'Child Data Deletion Request' in the subject line. We will action all such requests within 30 days.

⚠️ Special Category Data — Pregnancy

If you select 'Pregnancy' as a search filter, this constitutes special category data under UK GDPR Article 9. It relates to your health and reproductive status. We treat this data with the highest level of care.

Your right to object and erasure

You have the right under UK GDPR Article 17 to request erasure of your pregnancy-related data at any time. Email toolkitapp@mail.uk with 'Pregnancy Data Deletion' in the subject line and we will action your request within 30 days.
