GoTripAble — Accessible Holiday Destination Checker
GoTripAble
is an accessible travel suitability search tool for disabled and chronically ill travellers. It combines real destination data, OpenStreetMap integrations, weather APIs, accessibility-related criteria and lived experience to rate 550+ holiday destinations across terrain, toilet access, heat, stamina, sensory load and transfer stress.
Unlike generic travel sites, GoTripAble gives condition-specific ratings for wheelchair users, fibromyalgia, MS, ME/CFS, IBS, Crohn's, heat intolerance, autism, COPD, osteoarthritis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and 30+ other conditions.
GoTripAble was founded by Jacqueline Manning, a former teacher with lived experience of hip disability, muscle wasting and chronic pain, who built the platform because the practical information she needed simply didn't exist in one place.
How it works:
GoTripAble pulls together data from multiple real sources — OpenStreetMap for terrain and facility data, weather APIs for heat risk, destination research and accessibility criteria. AI is used as a tool to help organise, compare and explain this information. The platform is not a generic AI travel blog — it is a structured, data-driven suitability checker with a human purpose.
